Finally it worked! In April 2019, I designed the Tupac column in front of the Marta in Herford with a colorful graffiti lettering. Since the beginning of my artistic creative period in Herford, I had an eye on the Museum of Art, Architecture and Design. I would have liked to exhibit my art there one day. With the design of the large advertising column in the entrance area of the Marta, I am getting closer to this dream. Now I'm already standing right in front of the door and knocking with my graffiti art.
With my work of art I bring myself thematically into the overall picture of the entrance area. The four meters high and four meters around circumference large concrete column I covered with a realistic depicted brick structure. In total, I painted with a graffiti airbrush stencil technique a total of 688 individual bricks. With this representation I lean on the architecture of the Canadian-US star architect Frank Gehry which gave the museum its striking brick look in 2005. Around the column I sprayed the lettering "MARTA". The individual letters form a color gradient. Also the artwork of the intalien artist Paolo Chiasera I would like to pay tribute to him with my work. Just as once the famous US-American rap musician Tupac Amaru Shakurshot in Las Vegas in 1996, I riddled my graffiti style with several bullets. But instead of blood, paint sprays from the wounds.
How I created my graffiti artwork over seven days, I show in the following video series:
